Philip Nabben
Lawyer, Partner, Certified Data Protection Officer
Philip has eighteen years experience advising on employment law issues. He studied law at the University of Groningen, graduating in 1999 and joined the Amsterdam law firm Ekelmans Den Hollander. Following the merger with HoganLovells he joined Erik Deur and Henriëtte Bronsgeest as an associate when they left HoganLovells to set up Bronsgeest Deur Advocaten in 2003. He became a partner in the firm in January 2009.
Philip advises international and Dutch companies on employment issues including restructuring and negotiations with trade unions. He has a particular focus on Privacy and Data Protection issues and their impact in the workplace and may officially call himself a Certified Data Protection Officer. Philip is a member of the Amsterdam Employment Law Specialists Association (VAAA) and the EELA, the Association for Employment Lawyers in the Netherlands (VAAN) and the Dutch Litigation Association. In 2006 he completed a post-graduate course on employment law at the University of Rotterdam. Philip is the Central Project Manager for all cross-border projects and of the many International Practice Groups within the Ius Laboris Alliance.
